lyrics
I woke up yesterday, and there was no one laying next to me,
So I went outside to take my time, and take a walk along good old North Broad.
I look right, I always see how the city towers over me,
I’m just another fish in a crowded sea,
But it feels just right this place is home to me.
Sometimes it feels harder then it should be,
Easier said, inside my head, then when words escape me.
Can’t be afraid of life, cause it’ll kick you to the ground.
When I see you instead of words, I can’t make a sound.
I one day thought that I could be more than anyone would expect of me,
And that in due time, I’ll speak my mind, and all my troubles slowly fade away.
I still choke on words I say, if you look towards me I look away,
What’s hard for me to you might seem like just another day.
This goes for anyone,
I begin to shake, just eat my words, and bite my tongue.
Awkward is an understatement, surely you’ll appreciate it.
I try my best, but fail a lot.
One day I’ll be unafraid to say anything at all.
This is the place for me.
